Norway, penny 1066-1093

Norway, penny dated 1066-1093, struck under King Olav Kyrre. Very Fine condition (perforated). Most Olav Kyrre pennies available on the market today originate from the Græslid (Thydalen) hoard, discovered in 1878. The duplicates were released by the Historical Museum in Oslo during the 1890s. Should this coin be purchased by a customer outside Norway, we will apply for an export license. Since it was the Norwegian authorities themselves who authorized the sale of these coins in the 1890s, it is likely that an export permit will be approved. Schive III:27. 0,54 g.
