Catalogue No. 1 of Selected Numismatics
Now available for pre-order.
For nearly two years, the objects presented in this catalogue have been held back from sale and kept separate from our regular inventory. None of the pieces featured have previously been offered to customers through Denarius Ringsrud. They are presented here together for the first time.
This catalogue presents a personal selection of numismatic objects chosen not only for their rarity, but also for the stories they have to tell. Each item has been given the space it deserves, accompanied by detailed descriptions and historical context that place it within a broader narrative.
Among the highlights are a remarkable collection of medals and coins relating to Norway’s dissolution of the union with Sweden and the coronation of King Haakon VII, Dutch gold rose nobles from the late sixteenth century, King Oscar II’s Medal for Meritorious Service in gold, and a rare Chinese coin-casting mould for Wu Zhu cash coins from the Han Dynasty.
Rather than offering these pieces individually through our regular inventory, they have been brought together in a dedicated printed catalogue where each object can be presented with the context and attention it deserves. The catalogue is richly illustrated with professional photography and written with collectors, historians and numismatic enthusiasts in mind. It serves both as a sales catalogue and as a small publication dedicated to some of the most fascinating objects that have passed through Denarius.
The first edition is currently at the printer and is expected to be distributed in November 2026. Pre-orders are now open.
