England, Early Anglo-Saxon Period, Primary series C2 sceatta dated ca. 600-775 AD. Very Fine to Extremely Fine condition. Radiate bust facing right, with a triangular nose and a lightly compressed posture; the torso rendered as a beaded pyramid above gently curving exergual lines, with the runic inscription “aepa” in the right field / A beaded standard containing the sequence “ttii” arranged around a central annulet.
